PORT OF TANJUNG PELEPAS - ISPS PROCEDURE

Upon ship is securely berth at the wharf, Marine Facility Security Officers will board the ship for signing of the DOS with Shipmaster/SSO.

SIGNING OF DOS BY A ISPS COMPLIANCE VESSEL
As we assume that all container vessels to be on regular port call to PTP and operating at Level 1, we will sign the DOS that shall be valid for the next 6 months. A new DOS with the ship will only need to be signed in the event that the Security Level changes. In this respect, on the next PTP visit, the ship will only need to provide the details as per the enclosed format via e-mail.

SIGNING OF DOS BY A ISPS NON-COMPLIANCE VESSEL
Other than providing the information in the enclosed format, the ship needs to sign the DOS with Marine Facility. As additional measures, Marine Facility shall be deploying minimal security measures at the ship gangway by placing 2 x Security Personnel as long as the ship is at berth. The cost incurred due to the deployment of security personnel will be borne by the ship as stated in the port tariff. Signing of DOS will be valid for one time only and need to be signed on every port call.

To-date arrangement :

1. Marine pilots boarding and disembarking ship for pilotage will proceed as normal. Security escort will be provided on case-by-case basis only.

2. Non-compliance ship will be alongside as per normal in accordance to Operations arrangement. Shipcrew are not allowed to disembark from ship. Ship will be arranged to be isolated on case-by-case basis only and will be informed in advance prior to ship arrival at berth.

3. Preparation of stevedores lists working onboard ship will be submitted to SSO upon ship berthing at wharf.

4. At Security Level 1, operations works will commence as usual while MFSO is going onboard to sign the DOS when both ship and PF operating at Security Level 1.

5. At Security Level 2 & 3, operation works will commence only after MFSO and SSO completed the signing of the DOS when both ship and PF operating at Security Level 2 or 3.
